Rapid ANPR Mobile Cameras

We provide Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras, alongside our solar trailers to enable a rapid and reliable rollout of this innovative safety solution to implement traffic calming measures.  

The solutions consists of the Yunex Traffic Sicore II camera that uses high-definition image sensors to produce quality images of number plates on vehicles travelling at a variety of speeds. Thanks to the cameras large depth of field, the ANPR camera can identify any number plate in any weather conditions, day or night. The WJ solar trailers can be deployed to a variety of locations and left in situ to provide power for the camera system. 

To deter and eliminate reckless driving, the ANPR cameras have a wide coverage, spanning three-lanes of traffic. This means fewer cameras will be needed, even across busy stretches of road where traffic flow is constant. 

Safety and Sustainability

By powering the Yunex Traffic Sicore II ANPR cameras with our WJ Solar Trailers we eliminate the need to carry out extensive civil works, which reduces the materials used and delivers enhanced environmental benefits. 

Unlike other ANPR camera systems, which are usually powered by diesel generators or through the national grid, the Sicore II is one of the only systems compatible with our solar units, providing you with an efficient mobile power solution that is environmentally sustainable. 

Stopping Queue Jumpers

WJ Group provided Sicore II ANPR cameras to a project in Northampton, UK. The ambition was to monitor driver behaviour and deter speeding on the approach to a roundabout. By installing two cameras, vehicle number plates of queue jumpers were identified and repeat offenders were sent letters regarding their dangerous behaviour. 

The result of this showed a 95% reduction in offences, 35% fewer queue jumpers and a steady decrease month on month of drivers using wrong lanes. Overall, driver, cyclist and pedestrian safety was improved.
